Lee
Leiss - A broadcaster for 40 years, Lee has managed and programmed
radio stations in Hardin, Baker, Plentywood, Montana, Grand Forks and
Dickinson, North Dakota. Lee and his wife Darlene previously owned KDRG
Radio in Deer Lodge, Montana. The present owner of KDIX, Lee has been
involved in many activities: Sports play-by-play (the former sports
voice of the University of North Dakota Sioux) wagon trains, trade
shows, flag pole sitting, the Lee Leiss school of broadcasting, the
originator of Dickinson's Custer Riders, and the narrator of the Custer
Reenactment at the Custer National Battlefield at Hardin, Montana.
Lee's hobbies include preparing sales seminars, reading, carpentry,
handyman projects, and computer programming. He enjoys baseball
play-by-play and covers the away games for the Dickinson Legion
Roughrider baseball team.

Darlene
and Lee Have three children, all teachers. Kent and Shawn are graduates
of Dickinson State University. Kent received his masters from Northern
State University at Aberdeen, South Dakota and has taught and coached at
Climax, Minnesota, Kalispell, Montana, and Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. Shawn
received his masters from North Dakota State University and has
experience as a Principal at Circle, Montana, Richardton, North Dakota,
and as a High School teacher in the Dickinson Public School System.
Daughter, Honey Lea, is a graduate of the University of North Dakota,
working on her masters there, and teaching at Thompson, North Dakota.
Lee and Darlene with their dog Boo, and cat Sweetie, reside at 439, East
9th Street, Dickinson, North Dakota.
