 Randy
Christensen - Randy is a
29-year veteran of radio, starting back in Minnesota in the mid-seventies.
After "learning the ropes" over 9 years in Wilmar, Minnesota, he
gravitated back to his home state of North Dakota, accepting the position
of General Manager in Carrington. By 1985, Randy bought the station and
sold it 10 years later to Ingstad Broadcasting. The last move brought him
even closer to his original home of Hettinger, when he moved to Dickinson
to work for Ray David and KLTC, spending 6 years in management and sales,
as it eventually became Clear Channel Radio. |
 Randy
re-signed his position in December of 2001, and accepted the position of
Sales Manager here at KDIX. Christensen refers to KDIX as "Real
Radio, Local Radio for a specific community," and enjoys the
professional, friendly attitudes of his co-workers. "It's a team
here," says Christensen. "Because of the veterans here, the
operation runs smoothly day in and day out."
Randy enjoys his two daughters Bethany and Amie, now both in college, ("help!") and is an avid Twins fan, enjoys golf, bowling and is a self-pronounced "Master" of Rock and Roll Trivia. |
